RSA - Radio Sol de Almijara is my Radio

Sound technician

In the early 1970s, I found myself working for the national radio from a private studio in Brussels. The presenter was Jean Neyens who hosted a programme on literature with a few classical music interludes. I had to record the whole lot, edit it and pass on the big tape ready for transmission.
It was a great joy to work with pro. Telefunken and Studer tape machines, run these big reels of tape at 30cm/sec. highest speed and cut the taped on the machines - quick and dirty method!

There are still plenty of old-type analog radio stations, including local and community broadcasters.

Many years later, in the early 20000s, I  emigrated part-time to Southern Spain where I co-founded a non-profit local community radio station: totally non-commercial, strictly cultural.
There are still plenty of radio stations, including local broadcasters, like the one I work with in Nerja, Andalucia, in Southern Spain.
